Boarding Requirements & Policies

Vaccinations
All dogs/cats are required to be fully vaccinated prior to boarding and have a current vaccination record by a licensed veterinarian on file at check in. List us with your Vet so they can automatically update us when vaccinations are received. For the continued safety of our kennel family, dogs and cats without current vaccination documents will not be permitted to stay. NO exceptions.  If you want, simply email vaccinations to (mountainlaurelkennels@hotmail.com) to expedite check in. Contact information is contained on this website. We require the following:
For Dogs:

DHLPP/DAPP2v/DHL with Clear Fecal Check
  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough) (Within 6 months of Boarding), Recommend K9 Para influenza
  • Rabies
  • Flea and Tick Prevention
For Cats:
Rabies
  • FVRCP
Reservations
A Credit Card deposit MAY be required for holiday and peak period stays. A cancellation fee of two night's lodging will be applied for reservations not cancelled 72 hours in advance during Holiday Periods. Requests for Large runs for single or 2 dogs may be requested, but is not guaranteed. Multiple animal (3+) requests have priority over single dogs for large runs if that animal can be accommodated in a standard or smaller run. 
Check-in
A boarding contract must be signed at check in. If time is an issue, Vaccination documents will need to be emailed prior to arrival date to ensure a speedy transaction. Just let us know and we will prepare all documents ahead of time for you.
Check-out
Payment is due in full at check out.  A service fee of $25.00 will be applied for returned checks in addition to bank fees incurred.
Restrictions
We are designed to handle aggressive and special needs animals. Call us ahead of time for special circumstances (aggressive/special needs/medical issues). We will do our best to accommodate your pet. 
Food
We serve a quality Sporting Dog Blend food with a 21% Protein and 9% fat content. It is a small bit dog food so it is excellent for puppies through seniors. We always suggest you bring your own food in a labeled container with instructions to prevent bowl disruptions associated with food changes. A fee of $5.00 per dog Per Day will be added if our Food is required.
Bedding and toys
NO Large Beds or Bean Bag filled, Foam Nugget Etc. Accepted. Bedding needs to be CLEARLY marked. Blankets, rugs, etc are allowed or small waterproof beds that covers can be removed on case by case basis.
Emergencies
If there is an illness or emergency we will contact you and your veterinarian. All attempts to use your local vet will be taken unless delays would jeopardizes your pet's health. Cheat Lake Animal Hospital will be utilized as our Emergency Hospital. If we are unable to reach you in an emergency, we will seek care that is in the best interest of your pet and as the Pet owner, you will be responsible for any and all veterinary costs if medical attention is required.
